Marucci Cat 5 Baseball Bats

Marucci Cat 5

Joel Albin, the man behind the Marucci Aluminum Bat, is more of an inventor than a baseball bat enthusiast. Back in the late 1990’s, Joel’s son played little league ball when he was a pre-teen. Like many kids, he complained about the shock produced by aluminum bats. Joel, a concerned father, also happened to be the owner of a sporting goods store in Livingston, Louisiana. He noticed that the new, high-tech bows that were selling like hotcakes were equipped with stabilizers and harmonic damping devices that reduced the product’s vibration. He surmised that if it will work on a bow, it should work in a bat. After much research and development, Joel designed a harmonic damping device that fit into a specialized knob on an aluminum bat. After testing it himself and rave reviews from his son, he sent it off to a leading doctor for acoustical vibration from Kettering University in Flint Michigan who tests all bats on the market. His results confirmed that the new device virtually eliminated all painful vibrations making in nearly 100 times better than any other bat on the market.

Being near Baton Rouge and very familiar with the Marucci Bat Company, Joel approached Jack and his team with his aluminum bat prototype. In short order, management knew this was “the Ferrari of aluminum bats” and the only one good enough to carry the Marucci name. Named after the strongest, most destructive storm level based on the National Weather Service’s hurricane scale, the Cat Five has been known to destroy fastballs, flood scoreboards and cause massive evacuations of pitchers’ mounds. We at the Marucci Bat Company are proud to offer an aluminum counterpart to our high-quality wooden bats. No other aluminum bat swings as smooth and offers this patented harmonic damping device that eliminates all vibration.

Whether you’re a professional in The Show or just starting out in little league, everyone has access to the best aluminum bat ever produced.
